Camino Electric powered by 2Bici

The road ahead is electric.

E-bikes make ordinary trips easier, longer rides possible, and getting outside feel simple again. Come find the one that gets you moving in comfort.

Changing the way people move.

Why Camino Electric

Two worlds. One bike shop.

Camino Electric is the e-bike showroom inside 2Bici Bike Shop, family-owned since 2010 and located right on the edge of the Palos trail system. We handle everything from mountain-bike suspension to e-bike service, and recently added rentals for riders hitting the trails.

We know regular bikes and e-bikes.

That matters when you are buying something with a battery, a motor, brakes, tires, software, and real-world wear.

Why E-Bikes Click

Get moving

For people who want to ride for health, energy, confidence, or a little help getting started in a comfortable, upright position.

Go somewhere

For commuters and errand riders who need a reliable ride with a setup that works in real life.

Carry more than yourself

Kids, groceries, pets, work bags, and trail gear become part of the plan.

Keep riding

For experienced riders who want comfort, range, and a little assist making the hills smaller. You are not done.

Which E-Bike Is Right For You?

The best e-bike is the one you will actually ride.

We are here to help you choose, set it up, and keep it running.

Jennifer, busy mom

Baseball practice, errands, a stop at the park, maybe a ride to get ice cream after dinner. She wants fewer tiny car trips and a way to bring her child along.

"If I can bring my child and the bags, I do not need the car for every little thing."

Marco, commuter

Works in an office. Wants to ride to work, the train, or appointments without arriving sweaty or worrying about a flat tire.

"I want to ride more, but I still need to show up for work without needing a shower."

Cynthia, getting moving again

Her doctor says she needs to exercise, but the regular bike in the garage feels intimidating. Getting started is harder than it should be. She does not need pressure. She needs permission to start where she is.

Older rider in an upright comfort position on an electric trike
"I do not need to prove anything. I just want to get outside and keep going."

Nico, weekend explorer

Wants Saturdays to feel easier: coffee, local festivals, a ride with friends, maybe a stop on the way home. He wants fun without turning it into a whole production.

Two riders exploring outdoors on a cargo e-bike
"I want the kind of bike that makes the weekend feel bigger."

Robert, ready for local support

Bought an e-bike online, rode it and loved it, then hit the wall: couldn't get it serviced, find parts, or source a replacement battery. He is ready for a bike with local support behind it.

"I already know I like riding an e-bike. Now I need a bike somebody can actually fix."
Performance Mobility

Elena, premium mobility traveler

Airports, hotels, events, and long days still need to feel like her life. She wants real mobility support with power, technology, and style, not something that looks clinical.

Try It First

Test ride. Rent. Then decide.

You can't test ride a bike on the internet.

Come in, ride it. Ask questions. Try the assist. Feel the brakes. See how it fits your body, your route, and your week.

If you need more time, rent one for a weekend. Try as many brands and models as you can get your butt on. See how it feels around the neighborhood, how it fits in your garage and how it fits your life.

Service After The Sale

Buy the bike from people who can fix it.

An e-bike is not just a bike with a plug. It is a bicycle, a battery, a motor system, a charger, brakes, tires, parts, setup, and service.

We sell bikes we can stand behind. We build them correctly. We service what we sell.

Brands We Stand Behind

Brands we can stand behind.

We carry a curated mix of e-bike and mobility brands chosen for quality, comfort, parts availability, and real-world support.

If one of our partner brands sells it, we can usually get it for you in short order, even if it is not currently on our showroom floor.

Velotric

Comfort-first everyday e-bikes.

For riders who want an upright position, approachable power, smart safety features, and a bike that feels easy to live with.

Segway

Tech-forward adventure rides.

For riders drawn to power, connected features, bold design, and the feeling that the bike is engineered like modern mobility tech.

BULLS

Real bicycle performance.

For riders who care about the bike underneath the motor: handling, components, trail confidence, and premium European cycling DNA.

DashMoto

Performance mobility, with style.

Not a traditional e-bike. DashMoto brings sleek design, precision engineering, power, and travel-ready personal mobility into its own category.

Local Advantage

Ride from a shop that knows the area.

Camino Electric sits near Palos Forest Preserve, the I&M Canal, Centennial, Cal-Sag, and Waterfall Glen trail systems.

Rules can change by trail and bike class, so we keep the advice practical: ask before you ride, check posted signs, and let us help you choose a bike that fits where you actually want to go.

Palos Trail Rules

Ride the right class on the right trail.

Most e-bikes are labeled Class 1, Class 2, or Class 3. That label matters around Palos.

Palos has paved asphalt paths, gravel and unpaved multi-use trails, and singletrack. E-bike access is not the same on every surface.

Class 1

Pedal assist

The motor helps only while you pedal and stops helping at 20 mph.

Class 2

Throttle or pedal assist

The motor can help while you pedal, or move the bike with a throttle, up to 20 mph.

Class 3

Faster pedal assist

The motor helps only while you pedal and can assist up to 28 mph. This class has more restrictions.

Palos Trails System E-Bike Riding Rules

  • Class 1 and Class 2 e-bikes are currently allowed on designated Cook County Forest Preserve bicycle trails where bicycles are allowed.
  • Class 3 e-bikes are not allowed on Forest Preserve bike trails.
  • Paved asphalt paths, gravel paths, and unpaved multi-use bicycle trails may have different conditions by location, so always follow posted signs.
  • Palos singletrack has a stricter rule: e-bikes are not allowed unless the Forest Preserves specifically authorizes them.
  • If a trail sign says no bikes, no e-bikes, closed, or restricted, do not ride there.
  • Stay on marked bicycle trails, keep right, ride single file when passing, and give an audible warning before passing.
  • Yield to pedestrians and horses.
  • Keep your speed under the posted limit, or under 15 mph when no limit is posted.
  • Before you ride somewhere new, ask us or check the posted signs. We will help you match the bike to the route.

As of May 2026, this is our plain-English summary of the Forest Preserves of Cook County rules. Trail access can change, and posted signs or the official Forest Preserves rules control what is allowed on the ground.
